Across this vibrant Queensland landscape this 30-minute documentary allows us to follow Simon and Natalie Steele, the Salvation Army padres, from Mt Isa base across the sunburnt Outback. It will follow a story arc that sees the padres working on their own family life while facing the many aspects of life in the Outback.
Their goal is to find happiness while providing hope. Within vividly coloured landscapes, padres and husband and wife Simon and Natalie travel across their 800,000 square-km outback region, engaging with and helping Outback Queenslanders. Risking their lives landing on melon-holed bush airstrips, dodging livestock and weaving between mobs of kangaroo, in this documentary we watch as they undertake several adventures.
The documentary episode of Compass will assist the Salvation Army by increasing the awareness of the Salvation Army and its Flying Padre service. It also highlights issues around life in Outback Australia. Through this the Salvation Army will be able to do more work for the community in general and isolated communities. Social and economic issues are prevalent in isolated communities and the Salvation Army offers an invaluable service to a 800,000 square kilometre region of western Queensland.

This documentary is our endeavour to help those struggling to find lives free from fear, war and persecution.
The final 60 minute documentary, 'Angels' follows the lives of humanitarian workers, each recently returned from the humanitarian frontline in Europe, as they work towards overcoming the traumatic experiences of helping the worlds most desperate.
From volunteering to help Syrian refugees to helping victims of earthquake or civil war this documentary watches as an experienced paramedic struggles to decide what to do next – to return to help Syrian refugees, establish her own NGO or stay in Australia rebuilding her life. We watch as other humanitarian volunteers explore the same issues and strive to find their own solutions. They are some of the Angels of humanitarian work and this documentary is a credit to them - in the hope that others may follow their lead to help the lives of many.
